Our History:

'MacLean Electrical was formed in 1974 to supply much needed specialist electrical equipment to the developing UK North Sea offshore oil & gas market.'

Managed growth of our business has seen specialisation in the provision of cables, lighting systems and electrical products for industrial, marine and infrastructure applications with additional business units being opened in the intervening years throughout the United Kingdom and around the world.

In 1989, we were one of the first companies in our field to be accredited to the Quality Assurance standard now known as BS EN ISO 9001:2008.

International Projects Group formed

RA Hall street lighting business in Newcastle UK was acquired and integrated

Noskab, our cables specialist was acquired and integrated

USA operation started
Azerbaijan alliance formed

JT Day, our Australian business was acquired

Middle East operation started

Purpose built facility opened in Aberdeen UK to enhance our capabilities and service

Melbourne Australia office opened

Re-certified to new Quality Assurance standard ISO 9001:2008

New Lighting Division Hub & Training Facility opened in Cumbernauld
